Ward 4 is a busy unit with a high throughput of different and diverse patients. As a regional centre for Cardiology, the ward has incorporated an assessment unit to receive and assess patients referred from over the North West Region.

We are keen to promote staff development and encourage, for staff who are interested, a "rotation" between the different areas of the Manchester Heart Centre. There is much scope of developing a greater understanding of Cardiology and Cardiothoracic surgery. Study leave of 10 days per year is given to all staff and each year, funded places on the E.N.B. 124 course are available along with Research Project on the Ward.

Where to find us.

We are located in the purple zone, 1 st floor of the Phase 2 building, at Manchester Royal Infirmary.
