Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinic

The clinic is now fully operational and is held in the Specialist Cardiac Services department, Orange Zone, Main Medical Corridor, Manchester Royal Infirmary.

Clinics are held on

• Tuesday mornings
• Wednesday mornings
• Friday mornings

Referals should be faxed to : 0161 276 5794

Eligable Patients

• A new history of angina-sounding chest pain
• No Suspicion of acute MI or unstable angina
• Patients who are not already under investigation or treatment of angina by a hospital consultant

Guidelines for pre-clinic preparation by GP's

• Referral letter faxed through
• Patients should be started on aspirin
• Include patient's telephone number if possible
