How to find us

Due to decommissioning/demolition work the main corridor through Manchester Royal Infirmary has been closed.

The best way to find us is to arrive at the main entrance on Grafton street (leftmost on the map below). The multistorey carpark is at the bottom left of the map below - at the junction of Oxford Road and Grafton Street - the carpark entrance is on Grafton Street.

From the main entrance, on Grafton Street (far left on the map below), bear right and look for the stairs on the right and go to the first floor and follow the corridor (marked green on the map). You should follow the signs saying 'Acute Medical Centre' . Continue past the stairs and lifts (which will be on your right), up the ramp and the entrance will be immediately left, at the top of the ramp.

From the walk-in entrance on Oxford Road (bottom, middle on the map). Walk up the main medical corridor, marked green (on the map). When you arrive at a cross roads, turn left and walk along the corridor until you reach Ward 33, turn right and follow the corridor. Near the end of the corridor bear right. Follow the short corridor to the lift/stair area. Go to the first floor.

Stairs: Once on the first floor, exit the stairs then bear left then left again -
Lift: Once on the first floor , from the lift ,walk straight ahead towards the right -

across the bridge, then up the ramp. The main door to the Heart Centre is at the top of the ramp , on the left.

From the other car park : top right of the map (Hathersage Road)
Due to buildings work there is no direct access to the Heart Centre.

The best approach is to exit the carpark and walk along Upper Brook Street. There is walk-in entrance close to a pedestrian crossing (on Upper Brook Street). Go through this entrance and bear left. Follow the road as it bends to the right. Look for the security lodge and there is an entrance just to the left.

Alternatively you could use the St Mary's entrance (long way round). Exit the carpark and walk along Hathersage Road to St Mary's Hospital. Go through the main entrance and walk past the lifts/stairs. Turn left. Follow the corridor until you see a large white rabbit statue. Here, turn right and follow the corridor. When you come to a crossroads go straight ahead. Walk along the corridor until you reach Ward 33, turn right and follow the corridor.
